June started off rather….snug, shall we say… for Mary…
She was initially treated as royalty. Here she is riding in the carriage with Prince and Princess LittlePeople, dressed as Cinderella.
Then one day she got to put on her finest wig and truck around with the puppy and a nice book as Snow White.
This is what you [...]

A couple of weeks ago I reminded Brent that our anniversary was this month, but admitted that I wasn’t totally sure what day. We have spent many an anniversary sitting in the pews/standing in the aisle witnessing others covenant with one another too. All the dates have sort of blurred in my mind. And, you [...]

In response to my thoughts about church recently, someone asked
How would non-Christian even find out about a home church or approach one? How are we winning souls to Christ in the home setting? Thoughts??
I believe that the most affective form of evangelism and discipleship takes place in a relational setting. Think about what Christ did [...]

So, evidently I’m a “carrier” of strep. I was told that when I was 10 years old, after my 1 billionth episode of having strep throat. I still haven’t decided if that’s true or not, but usually any time I get a cold, I get strep.
That went away for several years once I got crunchy. [...]

I got stuck in a rut recently. Actually, it was a rather drawn out sort of thing.
I didn’t even realize it until I noticed some thoughts I was battling that I knew weren’t good. With Brent’s consent, I contacted a distant friend to ask for wisdom. She directed me to reconsider what I had been [...]

My girls are so sweet! Evie has discovered peekaboo and had a giggle fest with Arwen this afternoon. I don’t have any sisters, so I take special pleasure in watching my girls play together.

Mary has been part of our family for about four years now! Arwen received a litter of stuffed kittens on her second Christmas. She was 16 mo old.
Only one of those kittens was ever loved affectionately, so we’ve hung onto her. At some point she was given the name Mary.
My girls don’t play with baby [...]

We’ve visited four local farmer’s markets and can tell you with absolute certainty that the Calera Farmer’s Market is the best one! (And not just because we are selling there!)
We’re getting all sorts of new neighbors lately and thought it would be fun to go door to door and hand out the calendar for the [...]

While I sit and sulk over having to wear clothing in this God forsaken heat, my kids are going to do this.
Just what a tired Mommy needed on a hot hot day.
Did I mention it’s hot???
PS. Did anyone ever notice that this homeschooling Mamma doesn’t even have a “homeschooling” category? If I put one up [...]
